IRISH MILITIA LONDONDERRY REGIMENT GRENADIERS 28mm
This blister pack contains four unpainted figures supplied with seperate heads. There were 38 regiments/battalions of Irish Militia of various strengths at the time of the 1798 Uprising. They were termed a battalion if 6 companies or less, and a regiment if 7 Companies or more. Regiments had both a grenadier and a light company; battalions had one or the other. Companies were usually scattered on garrison duty. Prior to the 1798 Uprising all the Light Companies were amalgamated into 4 Light battalions, each with a cadre of regular British army troops. The Londonderry Regiment Grenadiers fought at the Battle of Arklow as an independany company
