AUSTRIAN DESERTERS (Pack of 8)
This blister pack contains eight unpainted figures . Examples of the figures are shown in the pictures. The poses will vary from those shown.
The gallery pictures show the figures used with French command figures from packs FLi05 and Fli11. The Austrian Battalion was formed by Napoleon and shipped off to St. Dominguez as part of the invasion force in 1802 sent out to the Caribbean, with a strength of 1000+. It fought well, but by Autumn had been reduced to less than 200 men. The uniform style is identical to French Ligne fusiliers, but with epaulettes. The coat colour was green, with green collar& cuffs. Epaulettes were red, waistcoat & trousers white. All the officers and half the NCo’s were French.
